The short version
We collect the information you send us through the contact form, and nothing else that identifies you. We use it to reply to you. We do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a mailing list. There is no advertising tracking on this website.

EEAT Media ("we", "us") operates https://www.eeatmedia.com and is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us about anything on this page at hello@eeatmedia.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the contact form we receive your name, email address, optionally your company name, the topic you selected, and the message you wrote. All of it is information you chose to send.
Information collected automatically
Our web server keeps standard access logs — IP address, the page requested, timestamp, browser user-agent and referring page. These are generated by the hosting infrastructure for security and diagnostics.
Cookies
This site sets one cookie, a PHP session cookie, and only when you open the contact page. It exists to protect the form against cross-site request forgery and spam. It contains no personal information, is not used for tracking, and expires when you close your browser. Because it is strictly necessary for a function you requested, no consent banner is required for it.
We do not currently run analytics, advertising pixels or third-party tracking on this website. If that changes, this page will be updated before the change goes live, and non-essential cookies will ask for your consent first.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use contact form submissions solely to respond to your enquiry and, if it leads somewhere, to carry on that conversation. Under the UK and EU GDPR our lawful basis is legitimate interests — specifically, responding to someone who deliberately contacted us about our services. Where you go on to become a client, the basis becomes performance of a contract.
Server logs are processed on the basis of legitimate interests in keeping the site secure and working.
Who else sees it
Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its logs, and our email provider, which delivers and stores the messages. Both act as processors on our instructions. We do not sell or share personal information with anyone for their own marketing purposes, and we never have.
Where data is transferred outside your country, we rely on the transfer safeguards available under the applicable law.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 24 months. Records relating to an actual engagement are kept for as long as the relationship lasts and then for the period our tax and legal obligations require. Server logs are retained for a short operational period and then rotated out.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format.
If you are in California, the CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to know what is collected, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, so there is nothing to opt out of — but you can still exercise the other rights.
To exercise any of these, email hello@eeatmedia.com. We will respond within the time limit that applies to your request. You will not be treated differently for exercising a right.
If you are in the UK or the EEA and you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national supervisory authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The contact form is protected against cross-site request forgery and automated abuse, and everything submitted is validated on the server. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send us confidential credentials or sensitive personal data through the form.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Where a change materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you directly rather than relying on you noticing.
